How to Object
THE WINDOW FOR SUBMITTING INDIVIDUAL OBJECTIONS IS NOW CLOSED
Hebridean Horizon is now looking ahead to the next stage: ensuring that the serious concerns surrounding MachairWind continue to be heard by Scottish Ministers, policymakers and other key decision-makers.
A huge step towards this was achieved on 15th September 2026 when Argyll & Bute Council's Planning, Protective Services and Licensing (PPSL) Committee voted unanimously to object to the MachairWind proposal
Your emails were heard. Several Councillors specifically referred to the volume of correspondence they had received and the strength of the concerns being expressed. Find out more on our blog.

Help us spread the word...
We're working hard to ensure that everyone who could be affected by the proposed MachairWind offshore wind farm has access to clear, independently researched information, together with guidance on who they can contact to express their views.
Producing information, printing materials, advertising and reaching communities across the islands, and the possibility of a judicial review in the longer term all comes at a cost. That's why we've launched a crowdfunding campaign. Please donate here.
Every penny raised will be used to help us reach more people, share the facts, lobby politicians and if necessary take legal action.
